Donations
We have an excess of compost, and we invite anyone to take as much as they would like for their gardens. You may also have an excess of things you don’t need, and would like someone to put them to good use.
The following is a list of items that we can put to good use:Towels: Both the Animal Kingdom Veterinary Hospital and Creature Comforts Bed & Bath use a lot of towels. Just drop off your clean used towels at either place.
Garden Produce: The sloth, goats, chickens and other resident animals eat a lot of fresh produce. We can make use of extra fruits and vegetables, so long as they are not too ripe. The kennel is the best place for the produce to be left.
House Plants: If you have a nice plant that has out grown your home, we may be able to find a place for it here. Some will find a permanent home, some will be used for propagation and some we may only be displayed outside for a season. In any case, they’ll all add warmth to the campus. Just send us a description of your plant through the contact area of this site.
Perennials: We still have a lot of landscaping to do. If you are dividing grasses or flowering perennials, we may have a place for your extras. Please call Steve at 734-663-0892 before you drop them off or send a message through the contact area of this site (click here).
Farm Implements/Country Décor: We have tried hard to honor the farming tradition by creating a country atmosphere on our campus. Send us an e-mail if you have something to donate that would add to the interior or exterior atmosphere this special place.
