introduction

Thank you for inquiring about Copper Leaf Farm's new horse stable. As you may already know, this state of the art facility is located less than five miles from the center of downtown Ann Arbor. On this site, you will find a site map of the entire campus, and the features available to people renting a horse stall. You will also find images that depict the stables and detail the indoor layout of the facilities, as well as a schedule of available services and fees.

Following is a brief overview of our facility:

Indoor Facilities

  • Large Stalls: (12' x 14' omsode area, opening to a 12' x 14' semi-enclosed outside area) All stalls lead directly to an individual grazing area. (1 Acre)
  • Large, well lit, insulated arena with arena guard (72' x 120')
  • Heated wash bay / grooming area with hot and cold water
  • Peronal tack room included with each stall (3'8" x 6')
  • Observation room with kitchenette
  • Large restroom / changing area
  • Shower
  • Trainer available - Julie Arkinson
  • Clinics and seminars - horse related topics
  • Warm, friendly atmosphere
Outdoor Facilities
  • Round Pen (60' x 80')
  • Outside Arena (160' x 80')
  • Perimeter Riding Path (2/3 mile)
  • Horse trailer storage (Limited Capacity)
  • Outdoor horse wash area
Safety and Security
  • Experienced staff on premises 24/7
  • Combustible hay all stored in separate building
  • Equine Veterinarian on site (since Late 2006)

Given that there will only be 12 other horses on site, shared facilities will be readily available much of the time. The building and related features are completed and have been in service since spring 2006. Our goal is to provide quality equine care and outstanding facilities in a warm and friendly environment.

Our location, just 2.5 miles from I94, will make it convenient for many to spend quality time with their equine companion. If you need further information, or would like to reserve a stall, please contact our stable manager Kim Hammer at Copper Leaf Farm (734) 913-4939.

Thank you for your interest.
