We are currently looking for additional kennel attendants for our busy boarding facility. Our facility is designed to accommodate dogs, cats, birds, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, other rodents, reptiles and other small portable pets. Our goals are to maintain a happy, healthy and clean facility where owners can leave their pets without hesitation or worry. All assistants should be professional and friendly to all clients, co-workers and most of all to the pets.
Working weekends and holidays are required for all staff members. Employees are expected to be extremely punctual, independent hard workers. Time off must be scheduled in advance. Applicants must be able to handle large breed dogs. All staff members must love animals and have enough energy to keep up with our furry, feathered and scaly boarding pets!
Canine responsibilities include twice daily kennel cleaning and disinfecting, extensive interaction and care, feeding, rotating dogs to outdoor runs every two hours and monitoring all animals during each shift.
Feline, small animal, reptile and bird responsibilities include cleaning all private rooms and cages twice daily, extensive interaction and care, feeding and monitoring. Qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent, job experience in cleaning and organizing, extensive animal experience and/or training, ability to follow detailed directions effectively, and work as part of a team.
