She is a graduate of the University of Michigan and is planning on starting her graduate studies at U of M in the fall.

Beth began her employment at the Animal Kingdom Veterinary Hospital and migrated over to Creature Comforts when it first opened. You can still catch her occasionally at the hospital, however most days she can be found at our kennel.

Kennel Assistant Manager: Christine Scalise

Christine lives in Ypsilanti with her husband, Ken, and their energy-filled rescue dog Kita. Kita often accompanies Christine to work to take advantage of the dog park during her breaks. When not working, Christine enjoys cooking and baking for her family as well as friends and co-workers. She often whips up a pot of chili or a big batch of cookies for the whole staff to enjoy.

Christine was previously a veterinary technician for over ten years and has extensive experience working with animals. Her experience ranges from equine to small animal care. She has years of experience giving medications, including injections, and providing care for special needs pets.

Lead Kennel Attendant: Tom Klee

Tom lives in Ann Arbor with his “beautiful fiancé” Daigna as he constantly gushes. He has two cats, Butter and Ignot, and is currently mourning the loss of his third cat Unchi who had asthma. He is very accustomed to taking care of special needs pets and loves working directly with the animals. Previous to working at Creature Comforts Bed & Bath he worked at the Huron Valley Humane Society helping care for local sheltered pets.

When Tom is not working with the pets he can often be found around campus fixing things and climbing really tall ladders. He helped install the sloth habitat inside Creature Comforts as well as the property windmill. He is also the owner of an independent screen printing company and spends most of his days off working on various projects.
